The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He reviews and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those looking to remove mopping from their list of tasks. They have impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that can also mop, this is the model you should go for. It is smaller than other models and makes it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.
It's extremely fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one motion. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.
The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as good. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is useful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys or books.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever used. robot hoover is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install and works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum solely to mop it is important to be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a variety of features.
The device is equipped with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map your home and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and methodically. This results in an efficient, consistent clean which is also relatively quick.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach a wide range of surface areas. They can reach corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to the walls or other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the odors.
App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction intensity and choose a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to protect your carpets from damage. carpets.
It's expensive, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to remember that the device incurs regular expenses, such as mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be replaced every one to three months.
The robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and includes a broad array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' as well as a 'Home button to send it back home after cleaning. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or just want to have a clean home without spending a lot of time on chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent option. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home tidy with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping system with microfiber pads that snap into and out of position. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned however, they mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.
The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature was its accurate floorplan, which it uses to draw a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.
We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair from pets. It was able to capture a lot of the hair that our cats shed, and even made it into the corners and crevices of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and even had some lovely jingles to indicated when it was beginning or finished its work.

Its biggest drawbacks were its simplistic app and the necessity to switch out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app is not able to save multiple maps. This could be an issue if your house has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is notable for its huge dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as an 2.5 liter dust bin.
The base comes with several control buttons, which allow you to manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to toggle a child lock which is a great feature for parents who are worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck if it is entangled in a blockage like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you untangle it manually. While this was rare, it was a frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't come with a "stuck" status alert on its app.
Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between use. This can cause mildew and mold.
On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky boxy models.
